Lost Your Phone on Public Transit?

Transit systems have lost & found — but you need to report it quickly.

⏰ Time is critical. Follow these steps now.

Urgent — The Next 15 Minutes

1

Call or go to the nearest station

Report it to station staff immédiately. Give them the route/line number, time, and car/seat description.

2

Locate it remotely

Check google.com/android/find or icloud.com/find — if the phone is moving, it's likely still on the vehicle. Note the direction to help staff identify which train or bus.

3

File a report with the transit authority

Most transit systems have online lost & found forms. File one immédiately in addition to reporting in person.

4

Check the transit authority's website

Some systems (like TfL in London) have excellent online lost property tools where items are catalogued and searchable.

Good News: London's TfL handles over 300,000 lost items per year. Items reported within 24 hours have a 60% recovery rate.
